first grade writing lessons
1st grade science / art lesson?

I have to write a lesson plan for a first grade class. Just take approximately 10-15 minutes, because I will present my university colleagues (are pretending to be first graders.) I have to use this rule in my Lesso, "knowing that living things are made of parts that have specific functions "… so either I was thinking about doing a lesson on the life cycle of a butterfly, or make the parts a flower / plant. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to make a brief lesson on this? I also have to incorporate some form of art in the lesson, either drawing, singing, dance or drama. Any help would be great! :)

Take your hands … With the children sitting nearby, perhaps in the carpet of the session or whatever in your classroom where children can sit down and be comfortable. — Ask what hands are to make this a brief discussion unless you have caught the attention here, but first-graders have the attention span of a gnat. You get many answers in advance here. Recognize each. "Yes, our hands can make a peanut butter sandwich," etc. AFter students debate now used art supplies (crayons, markers) to trace their hands – both. Demonstrate. They have to see what you mean. Both hands on the paper. One of them will be easier than the other. They may need assistance. After the students draw what their hands are doing – they are writing, are pressing the buttons, are holding a book? That the students draw what they want, encourage color and do a lot of things about his role. Not content with only two hands and a thin line that is a pencil in hand. Have them draw funds as well. You have introduced the use of hands as a functional part of the body – has spoken in many ways how the hands can be used – Have demonstrated how to make hands in a follow-up work has encouraged the creativity that students add what they wanted and do more in the paper itself. Keep it simple. By doing this lesson with their peers (and there is always one to give him a hard time) just go with it. Force them to make the drawing too. For more advanced: Students cut shapes of the hand and make a lot of them. Glue together to make a 3D sculpture. As a teacher of art who have difficulty with the hands thing in art – but in this case I think works for the integration of science and art. Good luck! (Make sure you have done this lesson before presenting yourself – trace hands, seeing the problems -)
